Quality Isn't an Afterthought
At RJ Mold, quality control isn't one department — it's embedded in every stage of production. We run a 4-stage framework adapted from Tier-1 supplier standards.
The 4-Stage QC Framework
IQC — Incoming Quality Control
Raw material certification check, material lot traceability, visual inspection, sample retention. No material enters production without passing IQC.
IPQC — In-Process Quality Control
12 fixed inspection stations across the production flow. Operators check critical dimensions at every station. Sampling plans follow AQL standards.
FQC — Final Quality Control
Post-production batch inspection: dimensional verification (CMM for critical features), surface finish, mechanical properties, assembly fit test.
OQC — Outgoing Quality Control
Pre-shipment audit. Random sampling per AQL. Visual inspection, dimensional spot check, packaging integrity check.
Inspection Capabilities
| Test | Equipment | What We Check |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional | CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges | Tolerance to print (±0.02mm achievable) |
| Hardness | Shore A/D durometer | Material hardness verification |
| Environmental | Temperature/humidity chamber | High/low temp performance, aging |
| Visual | Lighted inspection station | Surface defects, flash, sink marks, color match |
| Fit & Function | Assembly test fixtures | Mating parts, snap fits, moving components |
